A student of the University of Dhaka, Hasnat Abdullah came of age inside the lecture halls and processions of Bangladesh's largest campus — a place where the country's arguments have always been rehearsed first.ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্র হাসনাত আবদুল্লাহ বেড়ে উঠেছেন দেশের সবচেয়ে বড় ক্যাম্পাসের লেকচার হল আর মিছিলের ভেতর — যেখানে বাংলাদেশের তর্কগুলো বরাবর প্রথম মহড়া দেয়।
When the quota verdict of June 2024 threatened to close the door of merit on an entire generation, he helped organize Students Against Discrimination: a leaderful, disciplined platform that insisted on peaceful protest even as the response to it grew violent.২০২৪-এর জুনে কোটার রায় যখন একটি প্রজন্মের সামনে মেধার দরজা বন্ধ করে দিতে চাইল, তিনি বৈষম্যবিরোধী ছাত্র আন্দোলন সংগঠিত করতে সাহায্য করলেন — শান্তিপূর্ণ প্রতিবাদে অটল এক সুশৃঙ্খল প্ল্যাটফর্ম, যদিও তার জবাব দিন দিন সহিংস হয়ে উঠছিল।
Detained during the uprising's darkest week and pressured to call it off, he returned to the movement the moment he was released — and stood at the Central Shaheed Minar days later as the demands of millions converged into one.
